Bilberry Leaf, European Blueberry
Ask a QuestionBilberry Leaf from Poland – Vaccinium myrtillus
Bilberry Leaf is sourced from Poland and prepared from Vaccinium myrtillus, a small woodland shrub native to northern and central Europe. Traditionally enjoyed as an herbal infusion, Bilberry Leaf produces a mild, earthy tea with a clean, slightly astringent finish.
Our Bilberry leaves are air and sun dried, carefully prepared in small tea-cut pieces and vacuum sealed to preserve their natural character. Pure Bilberry Leaf, with nothing added.
A Traditional European Herbal Tea
Bilberry has a long history in European herbal traditions, where both its leaves and dark blue berries have been valued for generations.
While Bilberry fruit is particularly recognized for its rich colour and naturally occurring anthocyanins, the leaves have their own distinctive botanical composition and history of use.
Bilberry Leaf has traditionally been prepared as an infusion, particularly in European herbal practices associated with digestive and metabolic well-being.
The leaves naturally contain plant compounds, including tannins and polyphenols, which contribute to their characteristic mildly astringent flavour.
