Our Sencha green tea is deep steamed in the traditional Japanese method called "Fukamushi" which steams the leaves generally twice as long as standard Sencha, resulting in a leaf that is more rich in Umami and less bitterness.
Sencha green tea is valued for its clean taste and balanced, gentle effects. Compared to stronger teas, it offers moderate caffeine alongside naturally occurring L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes a calm, focused state. This combination is often described as “alert but relaxed,” without the jitteriness associated with higher-caffeine drinks.

Brewing recommendations: Pour freshly boiled water (80 degrees Celsius) over 1-2 teaspoons tea leaves and let steep for 30-90 seconds. Strain leaves and enjoy. Sencha can be steamed multiple times - up to 4 brews. To do so, slightly increase the water temperature and steep time.
