Schisandra is most known for boosting liver function and supporting healthy adrenal function and therefore helping to prevent adrenal fatigue. It is also known as a beauty tonic and is considered to be a youth preserving herb. It has been used for centuries to make the skin soft, healthy and radiant. It is said to be a powerful tonic to the brain and mind, and is believed in Chinese medicine to enhance mental and physical capacities, improve memory and used as a mood enhancer.
Moreover, Schisandra helps purify the blood, help maintain sexual energy and sexual functions in both men and women, and can improve cardiovascular function.
Rhodiola root has been used in Indian and Chinese traditional medicines for centuries. Also known as golden root, Arctic root, king’s crown, and roseroot, these roots can be dried, powdered and made into beneficial teas.
Rhodiola rosea has high concentration of organic compounds, such as phenols, alkaloids, flavonoids, and quinones and has been long known as an adaptogen helping increase the body's resistance to physical, chemical and environmental stress, boosting energy and the immune system. Because Rhodiola helps fight physical and mental fatigue it may help lower cortisol, protect the adrenals and glands, fight depression and support weight loss.
Tulsi leaf is an blend of all three types tulsi herb (Krishna, Vana, Rama) to create this balanced, calming, yet energizing tea. Tulsi is an adaptogen and based on Ayurveda, it strengthens and modulates the immune system, reduces allergic histamine and it is used to treat arthritis, swellings, gum infection, parasitic infection, skin diseases and it can improve digestion.
Eleuthero root, or Siberian ginseng, more commonly referred to as eleutherois best known as an adaptogen. Adaptogens support the body in handling physical, biological or chemical stress. The root has been utilized in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years.
In Chinese medicine (TCM) eleuthero root is used to invigorate qi (chi or energy), strengthen and nourish the spleen and kidney and to balance vital energy. It is considered energetically warming, and relates to the spleen, kidney and heart meridians. Eleuthero is also said to boost stamina and mental alertness, protect against cancer and treat herpes. Additionally, it has been employed in sleeplessness and the presence of too many dreams.
