Organic Triphala Powder – Traditional Ayurvedic Three-Fruit Blend

Organic Triphala Powder is a traditional Ayurvedic formula made from three certified organic fruits: Amalaki (Indian gooseberry), Bibhitaki (belleric myrobalan) and Haritaki (black myrobalan). The name Triphala literally means “three fruits,” reflecting the simple composition of this renowned herbal blend.

One of the oldest and most recognized formulas in Ayurveda, Triphala has traditionally been used as a gentle digestive tonic to support healthy digestion, gastrointestinal function, elimination and nutritional assimilation.

Three Fruits, One Traditional Formula

Triphala brings together equal consideration of three distinctly different fruits, each with its own important place in Ayurveda.

Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), also known as Amla or Indian gooseberry, has a distinctly tart character and is highly regarded as a rejuvenating fruit in Ayurveda.

Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), also known as belleric myrobalan, is traditionally valued for its cleansing and balancing properties.

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), also known as black myrobalan, is one of Ayurveda's most celebrated fruits and has a long history of use in traditional digestive preparations.

Together, the three form Triphala — a formula valued not simply for one ingredient, but for the complementary nature of all three.

A Traditional Digestive Tonic

Triphala is traditionally used in Ayurveda to regulate, strengthen and tone the digestive system while supporting normal elimination. It has a mild laxative action and has traditionally been used to support healthy gastrointestinal function without the strongly stimulating character associated with some laxative herbs. Triphala is also traditionally regarded as a nourishing and rejuvenating formula rather than simply an herb for occasional elimination. Vata · Pitta · Kapha One of the distinctive features of Triphala within Ayurveda is its traditional association with all three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each of the three fruits has its own Ayurvedic characteristics, and their combination is traditionally regarded as a balancing formula suitable for supporting all three constitutional types. Triphala has a complex flavour that combines sour, bitter, astringent and subtly sweet notes. Its distinctive taste is an integral part of the traditional preparation.
