Cat’s claw is a vine that has hook-like thorns similar to the claws of a cat. Native to tropical climates in Central and South America, cat’s claw bark has been a part of indigenous healing traditions for thousands of years, used as traditional medicine by indigenous peoples in the Andes to treat inflammation, rheumatism, gastric ulcers, dysentery, tumors and also helping the body get rid of excess water and to stimulate the immune system..
Cat's claw has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and been used traditionally for centuries to treat arthritis, intestinal complaints and wounds. One of the most impressive effects of cat’s claw is its scientifically proven ability to repair DNA. It has components such as tannins and sterols that help reduce inflammation, and elements such as quinovic acid glycosides that fights viruses.
Cat’s claw is also used to treat a wide array of digestive disorders, including crohn's disease, colitis, diverticulitis, gastritis, hemorrhoids, stomach ulcers and leaky gut syndrome. The tea made from Cat's Claw can also be used as an eye rinse for eye infections.

Suggested use: Add 2 tsp to 8 ounces of boiling water, boil for 5 to 10 minutes, let steep until cool enough to drink.
