Slippery elm is native to eastern North America and an important herb in Native American traditional medicine for a wide range of health conditions. One of the primary uses of Slippery Elm is as a digestive aid for it's ability to soothe inflamed mucus membranes. It is also well known for its beneficial effect on the respiratory system and for soothing sore throats and to provide help from oral discomforts. Slippery Elm has been used along with a detox routine for it's ability to help remove acids and toxicity from the system and is considered one of nature's great healers.

Recommended dose: Adults, take 1 teaspoon (1g) one to three times per day.
Take with at least 250ml (1 cup) of liquid. Take one hour before or several
hours after any prescription medications, as Slippery Elm may slow their absorption.
