Organic Hawthorn Leaf & Flower from Bulgaria

Organic Hawthorn Leaf & Flower is carefully sourced from Bulgaria and prepared from Crataegus monogyna. Our tea-cut herb combines both the leaves and flowers of the hawthorn tree, the traditional aerial portions used in herbal preparations, and is naturally caffeine free.

Hawthorn has a long history of use in European herbalism and is particularly associated with the heart and circulatory system. Hawthorn leaves and flowers are traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help maintain and support cardiovascular health in adults.

The leaves and flowers naturally contain a variety of plant compounds, including flavonoids and oligomeric procyanidins. These constituents are characteristic of hawthorn and have contributed to the continued interest in Crataegus as a traditional cardiovascular herb.

Leaf & Flower

Hawthorn preparations can be made from different parts of the plant, including the berries, leaves and flowers. Our product specifically combines Hawthorn Leaf & Flower rather than the fruit, providing the traditional aerial parts in a convenient tea-cut form for herbal infusions.

Hawthorn Leaf & Flower produces a mild, pleasantly herbaceous infusion with subtle earthy and floral notes. It can be enjoyed on its own or combined with complementary herbs such as rose petals, chamomile, calendula, spearmint or bilberry leaf.
