Black salt was first used in Ayurvedic medicine, from the salt mines of Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and other locations in the Himalayas. Black salt has a more in depth flavor profile and generally a lower sodium content than regular salt. Black salt is also minimally processed and therefore do not contain potentially harmful additives. This black lava sea salt is infused with activated charcoal which assists the body in removing harmful impurities, and abundant in essential minerals
